Damn Protected

Overprotected by Britney Spears is my favorite song. I heard it for the first time and I felt something special in my heart. I did not even know what it talked about. But then when I found the lyrics of the song I felt in love with it.

overprotected talks about a girl or maybe a woman who has overprotective parents. She talks about whow their protection did not help her in the discovery of the real world. And she is upset with this situation. she really wants to be free. She doen´t want to be corrected she wants to make mistakes in order to learn how life is.

I think that the song talks about something that I lived. I am the firstborn of my family and my mother is always expecting a lot of things from me. she has been overprotecting only with me and this situation is frustrating because I feel that I can not do whatever I want. I do not want to let her down! I always sing aloud this song in my house I express my feelings but the sad thing is that my mother does not understand the message!

First of all I want to introduce myself to all the readers of this blog.  My name is Lil& Evans and I am 20 years old. I am from Santiago, Chile but now I live in Valparaiso. In this city I study English pedagogy at Playa Ancha University. My interests are obviously learning English and listen to music.  In my opinion if you listen to English music frequently you´ll probably understand it more easily.

So the purpose of this blog is to share and tell stories about how music has helped you to learn another language. For example Britney Spears's music has inspired me to do a lot of things. I have listened to her music since I was a child. Pop music is very important for me and I love listening to britney`s songs and looking for information about it. Her music has influenced me through the years so I decided to become an English teacher because of her.
