Overprotected by Britney Spears is my favorite song. I heard it for the first time and I felt something special in my heart. I did not even know what it talked about. But then when I found the lyrics of the song I felt in love with it.
overprotected talks about a girl or maybe a woman who has overprotective parents. She talks about whow their protection did not help her in the discovery of the real world. And she is upset with this situation. she really wants to be free. She doen´t want to be corrected she wants to make mistakes in order to learn how life is.
I think that the song talks about something that I lived. I am the firstborn of my family and my mother is always expecting a lot of things from me. she has been overprotecting only with me and this situation is frustrating because I feel that I can not do whatever I want. I do not want to let her down! I always sing aloud this song in my house I express my feelings but the sad thing is that my mother does not understand the message!
